The way we talk about meaning and purpose can sometimes make it seem like a feel-good idea that is more abstract philosophy than something with a nuts-and-bolts application in our lives.
In reality though, far from some idealistic and out-of-reach experience, greater meaning and purpose is something you can start weaving into your life right here, right now.
This coaching package is designed to help you do just that. In our work together, you will:
Meaning
To build a foundation, we’ll explore questions like: What is meaning? Where does it come from? And most importantly, what are specific ways you can proactively bring more of it into your life?
We’ll take meaning out of the context of some dramatic quest to <cue the booming announcer’s voice> Live a Life of Meaning and demystify it, exploring its potential to be a part of your regular, everyday life.
To do that, we will combine insight with action.
Insight
This is all about understanding your own unique wiring. What feels most meaningful varies from person to person. When you understand where the juice is for you, you can recognize and savor where it already exists and brainstorm additional possibilities to add more.
There is no one single source of meaning. It’s a unique and individual thing from person to person. But there are numerous common sources that frequently show up. Consider it a master meaning list.
Drawing from that master list, you will tailor your own personalized meaning menu, based on the sources that resonate most deeply with you. This will give you a lens to both recognize and savor the meaning that is already there and to brainstorm additional possibilities.
Action
Understanding what you find meaningful is only half the puzzle. You also need to actively incorporate it.
In our work together, we will brainstorm possibilities both big and small for plugging in to those meaning sources. Then you will start experimenting and incorporating some of those ideas.
Purpose
While meaning is immediately accessible, understanding purpose is the result of a longer-term approach. Insight here is less about the intellectual exercise of identifying it and more about the lived experience of exploring it.
This part of the work is about laying the foundation for the exploration, experimentation, and discovery that are key to the ongoing process of finding and refining your purpose.
Together, the insights you gain and the action you take towards greater meaning and purpose can make your life a juicier, more energizing, more impactful place to live.
